History Issue Solved has but a short history, but Managing Member Bob Wilcox has been in the Cable TV industry over 2 decades. He moved up through system engineering and operations, and became a Senior Field Service Engineer for Integration Technologies, assisting in the nationwide launch of Headend-in-the-Sky in the 1990’s. He also managed numerous headend builds and upgrades while at I.T., along with managing outside plant rebuilds and upgrades. He later served as a Project and Program manager for Scientific Atlanta’s Worldwide Services division, where he continued to manage headend builds and upgrades. He also assisted in SA’s DWDM product launch, and with the launch of their Segmented optical node, internationally. He served as Cable/Satellite Program Manager for MOXI Digital, assisting in the development and integration of their Set top Box. Currently Issue Solved is currently involved in Digital testing and certification of return plant for several CATV systems. We use, what we believe to be, the most advanced digital test equipment available. The services are being provided primarily to assist in the launch of VoIP services. Systems normally do not have the manpower (or possibly the test equipment) to manage or implement ingress and certification programs. By serving as an independent 3rd party, it helps the Cable operator by identifying any problems and their extent. Budget can then be focused on those areas. And, by being independent of System and Contract personnel, a true analysis can be expected. Issue Solved can also manage other facets of pre-launch requirements, including power supply upgrades, status monitoring, sweep, and forward plant testing. |
